This is a technique that is available through "Beautiful Faces" by Jane Davenport. I highly recommend you buy the book!

This was a fun piece using colored paper napkins with colors and patterns that spoke to me. I also used the following materials:

• 11x14 mixed media paper

• Acrylic Matte Medium by Golden

• White Gesso by Golden

• Good large flat brush to glue tissue down & smaller flat brush for detail work. I use a 4 for detail.

• Face Stencil - I used Jane Davenport’s three-quarter face artist cellar. You can buy it through Stencilgirl or Jane Davenport’s Institute of Cute.

• Black archival ink using a ranger tool to dab ink over

• Acrylic paint by Cremcoat – Santa’s Flesh, Think Pink, Tahiti Blue, Sweet Pea

• Jane Davenport Platinum ink pen with nib (love this)

• Prismacolor col-erase black
